Activities Offered: The Yorba Linda Community/Senior Center offers activities for older adults including movie matinees the second and fourth Mondays of each month. Movies start at 12:30 p.m. The Community Center is at 4501 Casa Loma Ave. Information: 714.961.7181.
Historical Tours: Tours of the Yorba Cemetary at Woodgate Park are now offered the first Saturday of each month. Free tours are 11 a.m. to noon. Tours of the Ramon Peralta Adobe and Museum are also offered 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. The museum is at 6389 E. Santa Ana Canyon Road in Anaheim Hills.
Got Yarn? The Yorba Linda Woman’s Club sews for those at VITAS hospice and for patients at CHOC Hospital. As part of the Threads of Love initiative, the sewers also make burial gowns for babies who die in CHOC’s Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. The group meets on the first Thursday of every month from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in the Woman’s Club room at the Yorba Linda Community Center.
